Aug 29: Six of Swords

The Six of Swords I pulled today during a very peaceful moment, as my partner lays sleeping, and a day after our difficult weekend finally comes to an end. A moment of mental peace.
Immediately the card washed over me with calmness. That things are 'okay'. That letting things sit, often heals. Without seeing a face here, we cannot determine feelings. Only thoughts. The suit of Swords is just this - mental energies, our ideas, thoughts, communication.

Nothing is being said, but a journey is taking place on the inner planes - a mental journey from troubled water (seen in the card) to a more peaceful land.

Clearing the air doesn't solve anything, but it does clear a space to allow for detachment, a breather from the heavy intense world of human emotions.

A gentle process of moving from one mental state to another is the message of this card today I feel. The swords represents thoughts - we carry them with us on our boat, but we move them to a new place.

The man represents the active part of us that must make an effort in finding mental (swords) peace (6) or helping move us to places where we'll achieve that.
The woman represents the receptive side to ourselves which can literally "sit with our thoughts"

And the child represents the trio - that we need to remember to nurture our inner child - especially as conflicted thoughts often are karmic play-outs from childhood.

Today was the day of peace after a stormy weekend. And a welcome card to see.
